About Solas Cottage
Solas has stood on the cusp of the North Sea for 200 years, basking in many a beautiful summer and surviving its fair share of stormy winters. Being right next to the beach, Solas enjoys spectacular views across the Bay to the hills of Caithness.
Blending coastal charm with luxurious modern living, Solas welcomes you to experience the northern Scottish coastline at its best.
The space
The Cottage sleeps 4 adults but also lends itself perfectly to family living. The main bedroom has a king size bed and en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has nautical style bunk beds, sleeping 2 children or 2 adults. A travel cot or toddlers inflatable bed is also available, meaning the Cottage can take up to three children.
The main bathroom has a bath and overhead shower.
The rest of the Cottage is an open-plan kitchen and living space. The kitchen has all the usual kitchen amenities together with oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, wine fridge and Dolce Gusto coffee machine. For eating in, there is a dining table that can be adjusted to sit 2 or 4, a high chair and children’s crockery.
We have young family ourselves so in addition to the bunk beds there is a travel cot, inflatable gruffalo bed (suitable for 2-5 year olds) making it easy to sleep up to three children.
Both bedrooms have black out blinds to make sure little ones get a good night sleep!
We also have a selection of toys and games for them to enjoy (and Netflix!)
